Rain – Snow – blazing heat – viscious dogs

It’s unlikely that anyone can spend this much time on a bicycle over a nine year period (minus two years for crash-related surgery recoveries) and not have some stories to tell.   While a lot of my riding was solo, I spent many miles sharing the journey with friends, groups, and other cyclists I chanced across.

I’m jealous of those adventure and backpacker riders who have take road trips across the country, through the mountains, roaming through endless miles and small town America.  While I’ve ridden the equivalent miles of more than nine coast to coast trips across the U.S., it might come as a surprise that most of my miles ranged within 100 miles of where ever I was living at the time.  While some riding may have been at a leisure pace, the majority of it was fitness/training related.

Still Riding

While time and injuries have reduced the mileage in the past couple of years, I’m once again increasing the training back to former levels.

The intent behind the blog is to discuss, review, and share about bikes, equipment, and adventures.  Trust me, when it comes to bike stuff, I have my share.   In fact, my wife accuses me of having AAD.  Accessory Acquisition Disorder.
